The Anjunem Irrigation Project is a medium irrigation project completed in 1989 and the ultimate potential is 4625 Ha with CCA as 2100 Ha and ICA is 1968. The project envisages construction of:
- Gravity Masonry Dam with length of 176.0 meter and height is 42.80 meter. The length of spillway is 39.48 meter having 4 number of radial gates of size 7.62 x 6.85 meter size to pass design flood of 487 cumec.
- Pick up Weir, 1 km downstream of dam, 50 meter long
- Two canals, one on the right bank and one on the left bank taking of from the weir. The left bank is 15.5 km with head discharge capacity of 1.03 cumec. The RBC is 25 km with head discharge capacity of 1.64 cumec.
The project was approved by Planning Commission in the year 1977 for an estimated cost of Rs 3.68 crore.
